Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed, experienced Private Investigator to join our investigative team as an independent subcontractor. This role requires professionalism, discretion, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with clients and team leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in real-world investigative environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct covert surveillance operations including mobile and stationary surveillance
• Document findings through detailed written reports, photographs, and video evidence
• Perform background checks, asset searches, and due diligence investigations
• Interview witnesses, subjects, and other relevant parties
• Gather and preserve evidence for legal proceedings
• Conduct infidelity and domestic investigations with sensitivity and discretion
• Perform insurance fraud and workers' compensation investigations
• Collaborate with attorneys on litigation support and case preparation
• Maintain accurate case files and chain of custody documentation
• Testify in court proceedings when required
• Utilize investigative databases, public records, and open-source intelligence tools
• Ensure all investigative activities comply with state and federal laws

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas Private Investigator License (Level II or III preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of professional investigative experience
• Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass comprehensive background check
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with surveillance equipment (cameras, GPS, recording devices)
• Excellent observational and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to conduct extended surveillance operations
• High degree of integrity, discretion, and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in law enforcement, military intelligence, or corporate security
• Experience with investigative case management software
• Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English)
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or similar professional certification
• Advanced surveillance training or specialized investigative certifications
• Familiarity with Texas legal procedures and court testimony
